Skipper Shelton runs the Clam Cabin at Crystal Cove's beach.
Physical appearance[]
Skipper is a middle-aged man with a gray beard. He has a missing nose that was stolen by a clam and wears an eyepatch over where his nose once was.[1] He wears a navy blue jacket with a matching cap over a striped blue and white shirt, he also wears an orange ascot, brown pants, and yellow boots.
Personality[]
He nicknames Scooby-Doo, "Wolfie", when he makes an inside joke and expects Scooby to understand, which he never does.[1]
History[]
Early life[]
A young boy ambitious for the sea, hunted Seafood for years, until A clam took his nose.[1] Whenever the town wanted to do something on the beach, they expected the Clam Cabin to be moved.[1]
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]
Season one[]
The gang couldn't get inside the Clam Cabin because the crystal doorknob had been stolen, also locking Skipper inside.[2]
The gang found a locker spilling sand out with his name on it, implicating him to be the Man-Crab. After the Man-Crab was caught it was discovered to be Bud Shelton who had chosen to frame Skipper.[1]
Skipper had a Clam Cabin booth set up at the Royal Knights Faire, selling clam cotton candy.[3]
Skipper was kidnapped by the Fish Freaks to work on their illegal oil-drilling scheme along with his brother.[4]
Season two[]
He saved the gang from a robot, by striking it with his spear.[5]
When Velma, Shaggy and Scooby visited him, he mentions that Sheriff Stone came to his restaurant looking for clues and was chased off, but not before taking a bunch of clams with him.
He purchased a conquistador helmet from Ugly Jimmy. He later gave it to the gang after they were given coordinates from the Planispheric Disk.
When Professor Pericles enslaved the town’s citizens to dig up the gateway to the Evil Entity’s realm, Skipper was captured as well and later was the one who unearthed it. He briefly took part in the battle against Pericles’ army and followed Sheriff Bronson Stone and Janet Nettles out of the caves.
When the Evil Entity was set free, it began devouring the people of Crystal Cove. Skipper was among the citizens to be devoured before its defeat. When the timeline reset, Skipper was restored along with the rest of the town.

Notes/trivia[]
- Skipper Shelton's story of losing his nose to a sea creature (and having a vendetta against it) is similar to Captain Squint (on the Jumanji animated TV series) who lost his nose to a sea monster. Both are parodies of Captain Ahab and Moby Dick.
- Skipper has five siblings who all have the same name as him: a sardiner, a shrimper, a manta-rayer, a kelper, and a sea-dragoner (whom he said he didn't talk about, for some yet unknown reason).[4]
- According to Tony Cervone, Skipper Shelton has his nose in the new timeline.[6]
