The Spirit of the Sand was a robot controlled by Hotep. It was used by Hotep to fight Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers according to a prophecy that would make Scooby (Ascoobis) a sacrificial offering. However, both Scooby and Shaggy led the Spirit of the Sand outside where it fell into a pool and short-circuited.

Physical appearance

The Spirit of the Sand was a blue and green scorpion-like creature, with three red eyes. Its pincer tips, lower mandibles, five horns, and leg claws were cream-white in color.

Powers and abilities

Using its ability to burrow underground, the creature was able to ambush its adversaries from below. The Spirit of the Sand's pincers were formidable weapons, which allowed it to topple over a stone pillar with ease.
