I'm niether agreeing or denying that Fernando is his first name, but I'll go with it since you've been right before. I however don't think "El" should be included as I think it's just his title and therefore not a proper part of his name. It'd be like having Fernando Colonel Aguirre. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 01:28, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
- Velma says, after reading his ship's diary: "It's signed Fernando El Aguirre." I think it's a proper name and not a title. Incidentally, Lope de Aguirre (nicknamed "El Loco", the madman) was a real conquistador in South America. --RockSunner (talk) 04:05, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
I honestly believe they called the town "Greased-Up Cove". Velma said during the tour in the first episode that Cletus Darrow named the town Crystal Cove. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 01:38, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
- No. "I set the ship ashore on the mission coast, in a cove we named after what we would soon bring there -- Crystal Cove." (The name came from the cursed crystal sarchophagus). But they didn't name a town, because there was no town at that time, only a cove. So Cletus Darrow named the town, simply putting the cove's old name (translated from Spanish, of course) on the town. --RockSunner (talk) 04:12, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
There is quite a bit too much speculation about what was going on in the minds of these characters. Nothing was said about the expectations of the "holy influence" of the church. Nothing was said about hiding a piece in the old church for the monks to guard. The piece found by Ricky Owens in the church is still unexplained, because the two pieces the monks hid were found in a cheese (from The Hodag of Horror) and in the sunken ruins of the old mission town (from The Midnight Zone). --RockSunner (talk) 05:04, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
