One Thing That Annoyed Me About This Movie[]

In the movie, Fred Jones claims that the Black Knight was the first ghost they ever caught. While that would be true if their adventures started with Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the series A Pup Named Scooby-Doo is supposed to depict cases that chronologically occur before the case with the Black Knight. Furthermore, since their home-town is named Coolsville in the latter series, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo would have to be considered in-continuity. Thor2000 (talk) 23:45, January 31, 2016 (UTC)

As has been said elsewhere on the wiki, this is presumably the first case they were recognised with the name (as Chickenstein was also on display). Plus the fact that, whether you like it or not this isn't in cartoon continuity, so it can do whatever it wants. That's why they had Jacobo the scientist, instead of Johnny the CD pirate. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 01:23, February 1, 2016 (UTC)
I'm a big fan of Scooby Doo, and the one thing that bothered me about it was the decline in quality in it. The first season had a wonderful Gothic feel to it, but over the years and every incarnation, it just got increasingly goofy and cartoony. It was hard enough to explain they stayed teenagers over forty years, but even worse that they had dogs living in houses and acting like people. The fact that the movie seemed to honor and ignore the series at the same time didn't make much sense. Sidebar, I have watched the second movie several times, I can't find several of the creature displays you have listed. Do you have behind-the-scenes images somewhere? Velma pointed it out as one of their "more ridiculous foes". -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 02:28, February 1, 2016 (UTC)

Good movie, 4\5. I really enjoyed it. But the first one was a little better Okraila (talk) 15:55, October 16, 2020 (UTC)
