Although it's logical to think that because Uncle Nat looks like Shaggy he must be a Rogers himself, but since both of Shaggy's parents resemble him in Wedding Bell Boos! we can't assume that and there isn't any strong evidence this. So I suggest renaming this page to "Uncle Nathaniel". -- Anythingspossibleforapossible 02:06, May 6, 2012 (UTC)

When you consider the tuft of chin whiskers which seems to be a male Rogers trait (as seen on Salty Rogers, Henry Rogers, and Mr. Rogers in How I Spent My Winter Break), and his home in the Boston area, near the home of the original McBaggy Rogers, the evidence seems pretty overwhelming to me. Granted the other three strong cases are comic-book characters, but we've been giving the comics a near-canon status most of the time. --RockSunner 07:08, May 6, 2012 (UTC)
Oh, and did I say it was a male Rogers trait? In The Lochness Mess Shaggy shows Scooby through a room with many pictures of his ancestors, and they all have the chin-whisker trait, including one female ancestor. He doesn't give any of them a last name (I don't think that his own last name was clearly defined until Wedding Bell Boos!), but if all these folks had the whiskers, and all these pictures were in a storage room of the old house where Uncle Nat lived, then they all depict either the male or female branch of the family (since they were all created long before Shaggy's parents married). Since we have a large number of cases of known Rogers with the trait, it's got to be the male side. However, since Uncle Nat is a great-uncle, none of this proves that his last name is Rogers. He could be a son of a sister of Shaggy's grandfather. So I guess I've talked myself into the rename after all.
