Reception
Scooby-Doo this week features a pair of undemanding mysteries that still offer fun for the spectators of Mystery Inc.
In the first story, Dave Hunt creates a strong background and a fitting "ghost" for the gang to trounce. The way in which Scooby and Shaggy ultimately solve the crime is ingenious and characteristic.
Accompanying Dave Hunt's engrossing historical setting, Joe Staton creates impressive visuals of caves and caverns for the backdrop. Needless to say Mr. Staton easily captures the look of the gang but adds more depth to their form than present in the old Hanna-Barbera cels. Just wish there was more of Daphne. [1]
