The New Scooby Doo Mysteries show first aired in 1984, as a continuation of 1983's The New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show. Thirteen more half-hour episodes, each consisting of 2 11-minute episodes, aired for one season on the American television network ABC.


The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries in 1984, continued the same format as The All New Scooby and Scrappy Doo Show, and, as an added bonus, included six two-part episodes featuring original Scooby-Doo characters Fred Jones and Velma Dinkley, both absent from the series for five years. The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries theme song is performed in the style of Michael Jackson.
