Trickell's Trickquid

Bud Shelton sells Trickell's Trickquid on the beach.

Trickell's Trickquid is a brand of bottled water created by Peter Trickell.

History[]

Early history[]

Inventor Bud Shelton created the product "Bud's Bloosh," a bottled water product. However, businessman Peter Trickell stole credit for the invention, renaming the product to "Trickell's Trickquid" and marketing it as a "non-fat, liquid diet, no-calorie, gluten-free moisture supplement." Shelton became a mere mascot of the brand.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]

Season one[]

Upon finding that Trickell was promoting a girls' volleyball tournament at the Crystal Cove State Beach, as an act of revenge, Shelton created the Man-Crab disguise. He attacked the beach, kidnapping several athletes playing in the tournament.

Shelton was first seen selling Trickell's Trickquid at the beach. After he was captured as the Man-Crab by Mystery Inc., his identity was revealed and he was handed over to the authorities.[1]

Notes/trivia[]

  • The word "Trickquid" is a portmanteau of the words "trick" and "liquid." This play on words points to the deceitful marketing of the brand.
  • This brand's slogan appears to be, "What Mother Nature drinks when she doesn't want to look fat."
