The man who called himself Tulie admitted it wasn't his real name, but he had taken to using it while squatting there. Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo took temporary refuge there after a night in the swamp, when Shaggy was afraid he was turning into a vampire. They left abruptly after Tulie told them the gumbo they just ate was made from leeches.
