So, Warner Bros. is making a new Scooby-Doo! animated movies for theaters, and it's supposedly going to be a revamp of the original classic Scooby-Doo's and it's formula. I know someone already made a post about this, but this blog is 100%, completely different. But I have this crazy idea, that could cause alot of talk, question and controversy. So, I wrote a blog on here called "The Return of Scrappy-Doo!" a while back, which I'm still getting comments on, haha. And anyway, I thought to myself, I wonder if in this new SD theatrical film, since it's a revamp of the original formula/show, I wonder if we would have any reference or nod to Scrappy-Doo. Now, I know it's very unlikely, but yet, very likely at the same time. I know the first Scoby Doo live action movie in 2002 included Scrappy Doo, and we haven't seen him since then, but seriously, if they are revamping the original formula, I wonder if they'll make reference to, or maybe even, have a cameo of Scrappy Doo in it so today's youth get a taste of who Scrappy is/was.

And now, this may be really stretching the bar, but just think of this. Say they don't include any reference to Scrappy in this new animated film. But say that the movie is a box office success and WB decide to try and make a sequel. I could definitely see a teaser in the future for it's sequel hinting/showing the inclusion of Scrappy, chronolizing the days when Scrappy joined the gang.  If the first film would just be based upon 'Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?', the second could be based on "The Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo Show" era. Again, I know it's definitely strecthing the limits, and many may not agree, but for die-hard fans, I see both of these theories as a win-win. Somehow I can see some sort of reference, big or small, to Scrappy Doo, because although many not like him, when you think of Scooby Doo's history, Scrappy Doo plays a HUGE part in it. Everyone knows who Scrappy is, good or bad. I can't imagine that if they are going to REVAMP Scooby Doo, there wouldn't be any nod to Scrap. Let me know what you think, seriously. I don't need the hate, I'm just curious in anticipation. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
