"What's New, Scooby-Doo?" is the name of the theme song for the show of the same name. It is performed by the band Simple Plan, and is written by Rich Dickerson and Gigi Meroni. The song runs a little over a minute. An instrumental version of the song can be heard during the show's end credits.
The Hex Girls performed the song in the episode The Vampire Strikes Back.
Lyrics[]
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
We're coming after you.
You're gonna solve that mystery.
I see you, Scooby-Doo;
The trail leads back to you.
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
We're gonna follow you.
You're gonna solve that mystery.
We see you, Scooby-Doo;
We're coming after you.
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
Don't look back!
You may find another clue.
The Scooby snacks* will be waiting here for you.
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
We're coming after you.
You're gonna solve that mystery.
I see you, Scooby-Doo;
The trail leads back to you.
What's new, Scooby-Doo?
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na
What's new, Scooby-Doo?

Notes/trivia[]
- The Hex Girls made a music video of the song in the episode The Vampire Strikes Back.
- In the Hex Girls version of the song they sing "snack" (not "snacks").
- The song was later covered, by the band Anarbor, for the final scene in the live-action DTV, Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (which was later used in trailers for several animated films in the 2010s).
- The Anarbor version was also used in the ending of the special, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You Now!
- The intro features intermittent scenes of the gang running. But, in some of those cases, Fred was missing.
- In 2021, Simple Plan, the original band who performed the song, recorded a new version of the song and released it as a single, as well as having performed it live throughout the years.
