Wiccans are a race of people that are similar to witches as they are associated with magic.

Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost
As described by Velma Dinkley and Ben Ravencroft, Wiccans were people who were in tune with the forces of nature, and used them for healing purposes. They believed in using herbs and other natural elements to draw on the Earth's power to heal the sick.
However, due to their non-traditional approach and eccentric ways, they were misunderstood and accused of sorcery. In fact, the word "witch" came from "Wicca".
It was later proven that, because of their practice of utilising the forces of nature, Wiccans did have the ability to cast magic, though it appeared that they would require objects of genuine supernatural powers, such as a book of spells. Thorn, because of her Wiccan descent (1/16 on her mother's side), was able to utilise the magic of a spell book to banish an evil witch back to oblivion.
- Arguably, the biggest flaw of the movie, is making Wiccans a race of people who gain limited power through the bloodline, instead of a religion (which would be like someone saying someone saying they have "Catholic blood" or being "1/16th Catholic").
- Due to the lighter tone of the films after Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost, Thorn's heritage is never brought up again.
