History

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated

Season one

When the Crystal Cove Armory was broken into and a rocket launcher was stolen, security videos showed a shadowy figure in an orc biker costume was responsible and the Wild Brood was suspected.

The Wild Brood turned out to be a group of computer nerds who were game-system designers and role-players. The Shadowy Orc was Maxwell, who worked for them as a copy boy. He was jealous of them and tried to crash a train carrying their new Swordfish Game Console. The Wild Brood managed to catch him, and to save the game console (though the train still crashed and was completely demolished), with the help of the Scooby-Doo gang. (The Wild Brood)

Notes/trivia

  • Despite their experience dealing with fake monsters it would seem odd that not one member of Mystery Inc. questions whether they are actually real orcs, which of course they turned out not to be. A similiar occurence happened in a later episode when Velma believed that Amy was a real Siren and not the disguise of a normal woman.
  • When the members of the Wild Brood's names are spelled backwards, they become derogatory names for people. For example, 'Dren' is 'nerd', 'Krod' is 'dork', 'Gabtraf' is 'fartbag' and 'Foog' is 'goof'.
